The Shaft protection sleeve or piston rod sleeve is thermal sprayed by Cremer Beschichtungstechnologie GmbH for wear and corrosion protection.
The Shaft protection sleeve is pulled over the bearing of a shaft or axle as protection or wearing part. It is important that the sleeve is secured against turning, otherwise the jack turns on the shaft and destroys the bearing. Prevention of turning can be done by shrink coating or clamping/pinning.
The Shaft protection sleeve is usually made from construction steel or stainless steel. We coat the sleeve with the Metal spraying method.
The shaft's basic component is very soft and might also not provide the desired corrosion and wear protection. With our coating of the shaft protection sleeve the surface is sprayed with a 0,15mm – 1mm strong coating to become ca. 60HRc-70HRc corrosion and wear resistant.
Shaft protection sleeve Ra 0,5µm as coating method powder flame spraying with subsequent fusion/vitrification, High speed flame spraying (HVOF), or ceramic coatings are used.
We can protect the Shaft protection sleeve or piston rod sleeve against friction, wear, corrosion and electric breakdown and increase the temperature with various alloys.
The Spray coats can be further sealed or are already gas tight by vitrification at 1000°C. The stainless steel property is maintained of course in conjunction with a <Ra0,4µm
surface. The hardness of the spray coat is complete from the first to the last 1/100.
Shaft sleeves are often manufactured new, because then the true running between inner and outer diameter is a given. To repair an intricate and expensive sleeve we coat both areas, to achieve a low difference in true running.
For your Shaft protection sleeve or piston rod sleeve we offer you decades of experience with our certified, qualified and flexible employees. We will be happy to advise you.
